John R and Suzanne

John and his sister, Suzanne were born and raised in Elmira by their parents Dr. M. Frederick and Eleanor. Dr. M. Frederick was a respected Physician and a loving father.

Both John and Suzanne grew up realizing the importance of a local hospital. Before John's death, he met with his attorney and left his sister, Suzanne as the trustee of his estate upon his passing. John's Will stated Suzanne would have access to the funds in the estate throughout her lifetime. Suzanne was a 1963 graduate of Notre Dame High School, and she continued her education at Elmira College, where she earned a master's degree. She worked for over 30 years in administration at Elmira College.

In 2023, when Suzanne passed away the remainder of the Estate of John R. was, as designed, left to Arnot Health. John's Will states the money to be left in loving memory of his late father, Dr. M. Frederick.

The planning on John's part made it possible for Suzanne to live out her life while still leaving a legacy in their father's name.
