Thurston from Gillette, PA was a lifelong resident of the area. Tom chose Arnot Health for decades to receive his medical care throughout his life. Many years ago, Tom had suffered a life-threatening complication while in St. Joseph's Hospital Rehabilitation Unit for an unrelated surgical procedure. Thanks to the quick action of one skilled nurse, Tom was able to complete rehabilitation and return home to his beloved Pennsylvania farm. Tom told loved ones "That nurse saved my life and I'll never forget it."

The Ultimate Pay-It-Forward

Having benefited personally from the exceptional care he received; Tom bequeathed his entire estate to Arnot Health upon his passing. This included his prized possession of his 100-acre farm in the rolling hills of Pennsylvania.
